So, the following story may not be all that funny to you reading this post. But, as a mom driving Cate and her friend, Katie, home from a birthday party, I thought it was pretty funny. Not only that, I continue to be amazed at how grown up Cate and her friends sound sometimes (even at 4!).
Cate: (going through her party favor bag): “Look! Sunglasses! Cool! Mom can you hold them?”
Mom (who is driving in rush hour traffic): “No, Cate. I’m driving. You hold them.”
Katie (casual observer): “Cate, why do you always ask people to hold your stuff? You know, sometimes you just need to learn to deal with it.”
Priceless.
