Goodbye Christmas, Hello 2008!

Sorry for the long delay, but Christmas hasn’t exactly been relaxing! We’ve actually been pretty busy. First, thanks to all the family and friends who got gifts for the girls. Wow, people. It was astounding the amount of toys and clothing they got. It’s almost embarrassing. But, all that said, we really appreciate all the sweet gifts.

Cate was fully aware of the intricacies of Christmas this year. She counted her gifts, asked every day if she could open them, and then tore through the gifts like she was looking for a million dollars. This was the year of dress-up for Cate. She got dress-up dresses, makeup and lots of shoes. She was livin’ large, people. Santa also brought her a pair of ruby slippers, which just happened to go with the Dorothy dress my Mom made her. Santa is so smart. :)

Peri, on the other hand, was just around for the party. Why we buy babies gifts, I’ll never know. She was content to play with the boxes and wrapping paper. I think she just wanted to be the center-of-attention and walked around greeting everyone. Pretty cute.

What about Sean and I? Hmmm, let’s see. We had a lovely Christmas. Sean cooked his traditional Christmas Eve Feast for my parents and it was awesome, as usual. Prime Rib + Cheesecake = Weight Gain!!!! Let’s just say I have been back to the gym frequently since returning home!

We are looking forward to 2008. Sean hits the road again on Wednesday and is gone most of the next two weeks. Luckily, we are taking a short vacay to Las Vegas in a few weeks with some of the Hens (and roosters). Nothing like shipping the kids to Grandma’s and partying for 3 straight days! Hopefully, I can stay awake past 11 p.m.!!!

Cate turns 4 in two weeks. I can’t even go into that. Shocking how time flies!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and great New Year. Hooray 2008!
