Gymnastics!

The “school year” has come to a close and now we are facing an anything-but-normal summer. Within the past two weeks, Cate has finished her school year, played her last soccer game and performed in a gymnastics semi-recital. This year flew by and I can’t believe summer is here again.

Of everything, Cate has loved gymnastics. She is always showing us her tree stance, doing somersaults and telling us the importance of sitting “criss-cross, applesauce.” Her coach, Miss Sherry, is fantastic and Cate is anxiously awaiting next fall.

I thought I would share some pictures of her recent “recital.” What this really means is that parents were allowed into the gym and her teacher showed us everything the girls have learned. Cate was excited to get her first trophy and several packages of M&M’s (the event was called the M&M Olympics!). I love the picture of Cate with her good friend, Lily. They are really so adorable!

Now, we’re on to the next thing. This summer will bring YMCA Camp, swimming lessons and a theatre camp. Sadly, fall will be here before we know it!
