We made it! The plane ride was great. Very smooth and I seriously have never been offered so much food on a plane in my entire life. Cate was so excited and talked non-stop for the first 30 minutes on the plane. Peri wasn’t a total psycho, but she didn’t go to sleep…at all! So by the time we landed, got our car, found our hotel and settled in, she was a disaster. Luckily, she passed out quickly and got a good night’s sleep.
It’s beautiful here. Clean, crisp sea air, puffy clouds and the people are so nice. The locals keep griping about the “cold” weather (it is currently 60 degrees and sunny), but we’re not complaining. So far, we walked around Coronado Island (where we are actually staying), bicycled around the area, visited La Jolla and shopped a bit. We are really excited because to
night after naptime we are going to a place called Balboa Park which is crazy decorated for Christmas. They have big carnival going on and we are going to cut loose!I’ll write more tomorrow, after we visit the San Diego Zoo. Stay warm…it sounds like Oklahoma is about to get nasty!
