Ok, so we all know that toddlers can be hilarious, frustrating and at times, unbearable. While Cate is always keeping me on my toes, I have to laugh as she tries to master the English language. Recently, she has been saying some pretty hilarious stuff.
For example, tonight in Target, she told me she needed to poop in her diaper. I replied, “I don’t think this is possible since you don’t even wear diapers.” She looked really confused and said back to me: “This isn’t a popsicle?” (confusing the word possible for the word popsicle).
The other day after telling her she couldn’t have a cookie after dinner because she had eaten poorly, she told me she “needed more options.” That one floored me a bit. What kid uses the word “options?” I know she was repeating a word I use, but still, I had to laugh.
Perhaps our favorite new word she uses is “probably,” as in, “Cate, what would you like for dinner.” Her reply? “Um, I’m probably going to want pizza.”
She has some other delightful renditions of her own, including:
“Bathing Soup” instead of bathing suit
“Happy Milk” – apparently this is what your order at “Old McDonalds”
It just keeps getting better….

Funny Funny girl! She is so serious, i love it!
But I don't really understand the popsicle part?
I love it when they use the wrong words, and I have been known not correct them, Grace still says "pidow" for "pillow" and "garvage" for "garbage".
Love it.-Camille
