As my friend Ashli recently pointed out, I’m not really great at keeping my new blog updated. Sincere apologies for my tardiness. Anyway, Cate is doing well; however, I think my social butterfly is ready for school to start. She’s like a teenager growing tired of her totally uncool mother. So, we’re both looking forward to September 1!
I think our blog should be called Cate’s Food Journal, because that seems to be all I write about, but the grandparents love to hear about the stuff. In an increasing effort to get Cate to eat any kind of meat, we have started letting her dip food into a variety of things – BBQ sauce, marinara sauce, mustard, basically anything she’ll eat. I seriously think I’d let her dip chicken in fish oil if she’d eat it. Since the new dipping phenomenon began, she’s dipped her pizza in yogurt, her cantaloupe in BBQ sauce and her cheese in the dog’s water bowl. I hope you enjoy your next culinary experience as much as she does.
On a sappier note, I’d like to extend belated Happy Wedding Anniversary wishes to my parents who celebrated their 41st Wedding Anniversary on August 14. Feel the love, people! :)
