Humanitarian of the Year

Ok, so my friend Ashli and I encountered one of the rudest people we’ve come in contact with in a long time. I am always amazed by people and this guy took the cake. Here’s the rundown:

Since we didn’t have any of our kids, with the exception of our babies (who don’t talk or run), Ashli and I decided to grab a quiet cup of coffee at our local Starbucks this morning. When we arrived, the place was packed. Literally no seats. So, while we were waiting to order, we kept looking around for people who may be leaving.

We spotted this guy who was hanging out by himself in the “comfy” area. You know, the two oversized chairs with a table in between? He was standing by the chairs and not really committing to sitting there. After we ordered, we noticed the comfy area had been vacated and the guy walked out the door. It should be noted here that he left nothing…no phone, no bag, no cup of coffee. Naturally we assumed that the table was clear.

So, I went over, sat Peri down and then Ashli brought Stella over and sat her down as well…both in the carriers. While we sat at the counter waiting on our drinks, Mr. Personality re-entered Starbucks and promptly walked over to us. He said to me, “Are those yours?” He was talking about the babies…like they were our bags or phones or something. I said “yes.” He then says, “Well, I was sitting there and I just had to go outside to get my bag.” I just looked at him while I swear Ashli was trying not to laugh. I just said “OK” very slowly, like what do you want me to do? He finally says in a dramatic manner, “Well, there’s another table over there, so I’ll just sit there.”

Um, ok. Is this guy in kindergarten? So, when you walk away from your table , leave nothing behind and walk out the door, the general public is just to assume that you’ll be right back? You’re really going to ask two women WITH BABIES to move so you can sit in the table you gave up? Congratulations, you’re a shining example of perfect gentlemanly behavior.

oh that's classic. Once again, a man proving the fact that he is nothing more than an evolved ape. What a dipshit!
